The Elves and the Shoemaker
Year 1 were really excited about going to the Tobacco Factory Theatre to see The Elves and the Shoemaker. In preparation, they spent some time learning about the story and even had a special day where they were allowed to wear their favourite shoes to school!
By the time the day came to go to the theatre the children were ready for anything; shoes made of bread, shoes that can make you dance , aeroplane shoes a feather shoes that tickle your feet! After the performance the children got to make and paint clay shoes and were able to eat their lunch before returning to school in the rain!

Year 1 Barton Camp
Year One had a great day out at Barton Camp. We arrived bright and early ready to play some balloon volleyball, dodge ball and take part in some athletics activities. After this we then stopped for some well-deserved lunch. The afternoon was packed full of activities such as den building, circus skills, playing in the park, cooking sausages and marshmallows and walking in the woods. Then we all had a great time splashing around in the pool and flying down the waterslide. Finally, the day ended when the year 6’s joined us to have a delicious barbeque.
