Spelling Challenge
Today we did a fun activity including spellings.
It was all Miss Ling`s idea and all the children thought it was a great one. The day before the
Challenge we were allowed to pick our own team names. For example my team was called School of Spells and our friends` team was called Dark Destroyers.
Some parents came to watch their children persevere with the events .
There was also a first prize , second prize and a third prize. Our group were fourth (unfortunately we did not win the all-star prize which was a pencil, rubber, bouncy ball and plastic medal.)
Miss Ling chose two year sixes to help with the Challenge. At the start our group were struggling quite a lot. Half way through our group managed to get to first place with 67 points but sadly at the end we lost by 1 point off 3rd place.
The team that won were the Demon Girls, they won with 83 points. The Challenge took place In the hall and finished a bit before break time.
There were a nice group of parents who supported their children throughout the event. It was a new event for the school.
Everyone enjoyed it and wanted to do it again! Mr Jeffery and Miss Field watched and supported this brilliant event.
