An Adventure Story by Josh Jenkins
When I got to the train station, I was standing on the platform waiting to get on the train. Suddenly, I heard a screeching rusty sound coming towards us. It was the train. There was ice everywhere. I was going to miss my home. Then I edged over to the train. The train was colossal metal. There was demon black smoke coming out. Their curtains were disgusting. Next we went on are journey. It was lovely but it went on for hours. I wondered is the train going to stop in the middle of nowhere? It went on for ages. Before long the train was going slowly for a bit. I don’t know why? Maybe we were just running out of gas.
Someone shouted, “were running out of gas!” Everyone was screaming in fear. As I stared out the window, I caught something terrible in the corner of my eye. It was like it was blended in with the darkness. The only animal I could think of is a panther. Just then I heard a creaking noise like the train was going slower and slower till the train stopped, completely stopped. What was going on? Next we went to sleep and woke up. The driver came in and cried, “it’s alright I’ll just go and fix the engine outside.” “OK,” everyone said. He took hours and didn’t come back in.
Then I edged over to the door and slightly opened it. Suddenly, I thought something was out there but there was no sound at all. So me and my friend Charlie tiptoed outside and saw the driver dead on the grass. Charlie and I knew something dangerous was out there. When we turned around I heard a growling noise. Soon when I looked around nothing was there. Next Charlie tiptoed to the door and ran back in the train. Carefully I scanned one more time and two big black giants were right in front of me. Thoughtfully I crept slowly back and ran for it. When I got on the train I got my phone but it wasn’t working. The panther smashed through the window. Everyone screamed. I hid under the seat and got a piece of meat……..
After I was holding a massive piece of meat and threw it far away. Suddenly, I heard two shots go off outside. I tiptoed outside and two police men dashed over here because I called them. They shot the two big black giants with tranquilizers to put them asleep. Quickly two engineers came and fixed the train. They put a sparkling new one in and we were off. After all that I was In the newspaper saying I was a hero.

Snowflakes fell from the cracked broken windows as Lucy Webber sat down on the rusty blue bench, watching the busy people push and shove, muttering like it was their own language. Smoke puffed as the train chugged on to the station. Filled with dust, the driver hooted the horn. Everybody pushed and shoved their way on provided with a smelly, rat bitten ticket. Alone, Lucy clambered on shaking uncontrollably. She found a tattered, grey leather suit-like seat. Even though it was unclean, she sat down, waiting for the ride to begin …
As she turned on her music player, creepy organ music began to play, darkening the train and all who dwell apon it. Suddenly, devil like noises came from outside, something whizzed past. “Everyone hold on! “Said the driver with the huge beer belly. The train came to a halt, outside were broken bits of train. The engine hissed. Wiping sweat off her terror filled forehead, she could see ghostly fog out of the corner of her eye. Holding her breath, she stepped forward …
She opened the bonnet and a dust cloud flew out, as if it had been claustrophobic and hated small spaces. With terror in her spine, inch by inch she turned around and saw 12 dozen poisonous Rattle snakes had surrounded her old ug boots! Presently, she stayed still not making a sound, as if she’d dare. A frightened girl would squeal with all her lungs. But, not Lucy Webber. She walked forward on all of their heads. They all sagged down dying, gasping for their last breath. Everyone gasped, stepping back for the heroic girl …
Fortunately, Lucy had an ingenious idea! She got her bottle of pink lemonade. It’s got enough energy to power up a vehicle! It read on the luminous pink bottle.”Ok,” muttered Lucy and filled up the engine on the pink slithery liquid. The train roared to life! “Hurray,” squealed the hurrying people, “three cheers for pink lemonade girl!” cheered a sweaty, old man who sat behind Lucy and stank. The next day gallons of pink lemonade appeared at her doorstep. She was renamed a hero.

As the huge clouds covered the pitch black sky , millions of tiny snowflakes glided down from above . Whilst I was shivering , I could see two bright yellow head lights coming my way . The train came screeching in as loud as a golden eagle . Before long the train was coming to a complete halt , whilst it was doing that I could remember happy times with my grandmother and grandfather . As I crept carefully onto the ancient carriage , I could see mouldy chairs and dirty windows . As I sat down, I could see old people.
Unexpectedly the ancient train came to a complete halt. It had Broken down and I could see black demon shadows sarrowending the carriage . Also I could hear ghostly noises as well as peering and growling sounds . After that I could see two bright white eyes staring at the ancient carriage . Then the noises started getting closer and closer and closer . Until there was no sound , only silence for a couple of seconds .
As terror gripped my heart , I tiptoed towards the window . Meanwhile I could see drifting shadows and vivid dimming lights . Through the window I could see a smudge of darkness and two small eyes glaring at my face . emedentily went rummaging as fast as I could through my huge backpack . I started with gratefulness just as I found a piece of meat in the bottom of my huge backpack .
As I dragged the piece of meat out of my backpack , I nervously throw it out of the window . I could hear the piece of meat getting ripped up into pieces . That gave me enough time for me to fix the train with my hair clip . I had to bend it out strait and carefully put it in tiny screws to make them tighter so it could be up and running eneaditly
Astonishingly the next day , there I was in the papers . A hero .
